My Story

In 2019 I identified a gap in the healthcare industry. During the course of a twenty-year career in the U.S. Navy as well as a Firefighter/Paramedic on the streets of San Francisco, I witnessed the struggles of my patients who repeatedly returned to doctors, but who were unable to transition from emergent care to a fully restored healthy state. Whether it be traumatic injury, psychological trauma, or medical illness, additional support was needed but not provided.

My personal introduction to massage therapy was due to my own struggles with mental and physical health that resulted from my military and civil service. The rigors of serving others took their toll. Bouncing from one healthcare provider to another addressed the acute symptoms but not the root causes. Then I began weekly treatments from a talented and caring massage therapist. This was an essential part of my recovery and became a turning point. The personal touch and human connection that massage provides cannot be duplicated in any other way. I learned the importance of caring for oneself. I began to understand the link between chronic stress and healthcare outcomes. This experience inspired me to become a massage therapist.

I am trained in Western medicine as well as alternative medicine. This foundational knowledge informs my practice. I specialize in treating clients with chronic pain, injury, and illness. I aim to provide an experience that nourishes the body and soul and enables the innate healing process to unfold.
